I’m not sure how I missed this, but one of my all-time favorites — Inigo Kennedy — has a whopping 16 free releases available to download over at asymmetric.co.uk. And they’re all gorgeous.
I had a lot of fun with Chris Alker and Ryan Brogan playing Halcyon the shop’s Nü Pschidt–an in-store weekly event, where guest DJs play (mostly) new releases from the store. Chris played first, my set is around 39 minutes in and Ryan played from around an hour and twenty minutes till the end.
SESSION 276: HALCYON 07.03.09 SUBTRAK
Mixed by: Subtrak Recordings
Also available on vinyl. Remixes by The Pale, Osborne, and more. We’re very happy with this one.
Im playing this Wednesday at 10PM at Wicked Willy’s in NYC. Should be interesting…
Two more minimal releases on Subtrak. I’m very happy with both of them. You can grab them here:
[SUBTRAK 017] Christian Bloch | Access by Inode
Coming out on Subtrak in January. These tracks are grittier and more panoramic (as opposed to dynamic) in nature than what I’ve been doing lately. They’re also composed with my step sequencer, rather than the Ableton grid I often use. I think they ooze raw power, but let me know what you think. Take a listen at Soundcloud.

The video is a Quartz composer abstraction of a picture of my daughter smelling a flower. Not that you can tell, but the colors are amazing. The idea for the title came from a Google Tech Talk about the Apple HFS file system.
